Looking Forward

The club normally holds formal meetings only during the academic year. We have begun to post 2010-2011 plans; the rest will be available soon.

Summer activities may be organized at short notice, so watch this space. Members can also receive notices by email.

Except as otherwise noted, meetings are held at 7:00 pm in the Community Room, upstairs in the Ames Public Library.

• Thursday, 2010 September 9, in the Founders Suite (across the hall from the Community Room) · SHOW AND TELL NIGHT. You can bring pictures you shot over the summer so the rest of us can see what you've been up to. There will be a laptop and projector available; it works best if you have plain JPEG format files on a CD or a USB device, although it's also fine if you prefer to bring prints to pass around. Plan on about 4 minutes per person presenting (though that figure might be adjusted when we see how many people are there with pictures).
• Date TBA, 2010 October · ANNUAL GRAVEYARD PHOTO SHOOT. This will be held at the Ames municipal cemetery. It is likely to be held October 21, the Thursday closest to the full moon; watch this space for confirmation later. Meet at the West side entrance (Maxwell and 11th) around 6pm. If so inclined, feel free to bring costumes, flashlights, etc.
