About Us
The Ames (Iowa) Camera Club is a community group for those interested in photography — the fun, the artistry, sometimes the gadgetry. The membership ranges from professionals to complete beginners. We all have something to learn from each other.
Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month between September and May, at 7 p.m. in the Founders Suite upstairs in the Ames Public Library. Topics in the past have included presentations by wildlife, news and sports photographers, discussions about photography techniques, and software tutorials; sometimes we gather just to show each other pictures we've taken!
Next meeting: May 8, 2008
The Minnesota Valley Photo Club, which is planning the the 2008 N4C fall convention, has asked our members to take this short survey. There are only five questions. Please take a moment to fill it out.
All meetings are free to the public; there is no charge to attend. You will, however, need to join before entering the club's contests or exhibitions. For details please contact Bill Huegerich or Luke Healey, or you can ask pretty much anyone at one of the regular meetings.
We are a member of the North Central Camera Club Council, which encourages activity among the various regional clubs and organizes contests.
